Teaching teens and why it’s literally the best…

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. Sure, I fumbled around between Broadway star, Veterinarian, and Senator but ultimately, I always made it back to teaching. I have found my ultimate joy in teaching the medium-humans otherwise known as teenagers.

They are profoundly frustrating, entertaining, and down-right fascinating. They are the perfect combination of toddler and grown adult. They will push me to my absolute limits of sanity before busting out a three-page paper on the complex evolution of American society. It drives me bonkers.

It is also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. As I move forward into the next phase of life, I hope to continue to serve this wonderful age group in the most meaningful way possible. In the meantime, I’ll be sharing all the things that happen in #historywithmissc– the good, the bad, and the hilarious.

New to teaching? Unsure of how to conquer a complicated standard? Need engaging, easy-to-implement lesson plans when you enjoyed the weekend a little to much? Check out my Teachers Pay Teachers store for all things U.S. History!
